Garmin Adds 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera, Geotagging to New Oregon 550 GPS Devices

Garmin Oregon 550t

Garmin just announced two new touchscreen handheld GPS devices – the Oregon 550 and Oregon 550t. These are not your average GPS units. Weighing only 6.8 ounces, they are waterproof, feature a 3-axis compass and include a built-in 3.2 megapixel autofocus digital camera that automatically geotags images.

Along with automatically geotagging each photo with the location of where it was taken, the digital camera in the Oregon 550 features a 4x digital zoom and allows you to take and view pictures in landscape or portrait mode. It also includes 850 MB of internal memory. Need even more memory? The 550 has a microSD card slot for more storage of photos and mapping. Your pictures can also be stored and shared online. Simply connect the device via USB, go to my.Garmin.com, then upload and store the photos on Picasa for all your friends to see. Read more

The Battery Powered Neuton Mower has a 6-Month Risk-Free Trial!

 Neuton CE6.2 mower

This new mower from Neuton (model CE6.2) mows, trims, edges and is an all battery powered lawn mower. When the weather starts to warm up, these are the weekends when you, your neighbors, and anyone who owns a lawn starts the process of making sure their lawn mower is ready for the season. If you are concerned that your lawn mower emits more carbon dioxide than your car does in a month (my assumption), then you should look into this mower.

The Neuton Mower is easy to start and weighs half the weight of the typical lawn mower the same size. One of the benefits that this lawn mower has (and your neighbors will like) is the noise. There is very little noise compared to the gas equivalent lawn mower. My neighbor has an electric lawn mower, and he chases a cord through his lawn every weekend. He has actually cut the cord accidentally several times!

The best part about this lawn mower is there is no middleman to profit from the sale to you. You deal directly with the manufacturer. This is why they offer the 6-month risk free trial. The Neuton CE6.2 is currently on sale for $489 and shipping is free.

Zebralight H60 Headlamp will Show You the Way

Zebralight H60 Headlamp Zebralight makes amazing little flashlights and headlamps.

With the included accessories the H60 can be used in other ways than a headlamp. The lanyard or pocket clip makes it easy to use as a task light. It has 3 click modes, but each mode can be memorized to one of two levels. These levels go from a High mode at 190 lumens down to the Low mode that can run continuously up to 26 days. And not just with a spot, it has an 80 degree smooth flood beam.

Zebralight uses the great Cree LED's to drive this bright little light. The H60 requires one 18650 size battery and is OK with it being a rechargeable.

The price for the Zebralight H60 is $79. Check it out, or if you would rather one that uses a single AA battery, the Zebralight H50-Q5 Headlamp at $49 is an awesome light too.
