Gateway Expands Its ZX One Series of All-in-One PCs

September 29, 2010--Responding to the success of its ZX One Series and the growing popularity of all-in-one desktop PCs among consumers, Gateway today expanded its line with additional models featuring an all new industrial design. The new AIO PCs join Gateway's existing ZX One Series, adding more design choices, configurations and price points.

With MSRPs beginning at $899.99, the Gateway One ZX4951 Series and One ZX6951 Series feature 21.5- or 23-inch full high definition displays, powerful Intel Pentium or Core i3 processors and Blu-ray drives. Their compact size makes them perfect for small rooms, such as a dorm, home office or kitchen. In addition, the ZX6951 includes a TV tuner, so it can easily double as a TV and/or home entertainment center.

Gateway Updates All-in-One Touch-Screen ZX Series PCs

Gateway One ZX6900

Gateway added new models in its touch-screen all-in-one ZX Series desktop computer line. The new ZX4300 line adds AMD Athlon II X2 processors, while the ZX6900 Series features Intel's Core i3 and i5 processors and a Blu-ray drive.

The new ZX4300-01e includes an AMD Athlon II X2 235e processor, 640GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive and ATI Radeon HD 4270 graphics, and has enough horsepower to give most mainstream desktops a run for their money. The Gateway One ZX4300-01e will be available the first week of June. Additional models will be available in July and will include TV tuners and faster AMD processors.

"Because all-in-ones integrate a desktop tower into the back of a flat-panel display, they typically use smaller, less powerful notebook components that don't require a lot of space," said Steve Smith, senior business manager of consumer desktops, Acer America. Gateway just introduced the Gateway One ZX Series, all-in-one desktop PCs with multi-touch displays.

The new One ZX6800 Series was made with gamers in mind. Included in the line is the high-performance model One ZX6810-01 featuring a 23-inch widescreen display, Intel Core 2 Quad processor and ATI HD4670 graphics, 1TB hard drive and 64GB solid state drive (SSD), HD webcam, wireless keyboard and mouse, Hybrid TV Tuner with remote control and high-def audio with 5.1-channel surround sound support. The One ZX6810-01 runs on Windows 7 Home, Premium Edition, 64-bit. The MSRP is $1399.99.

The less expensive (yet still powerful) One ZX4800 Series is perfect for smaller places like a dorm room, kitchen, or home office. Models include a 20-inch widescreen display, an Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T4300, 4GB DDR2 dual channel memory (800MHz), 750GB SATA hard drive, Intel GMA X4500HD graphics, HD webcam, high-def audio with 5.1 channel audio support, Multi-in-one digital media card reader, and more.
