Boston Acoustics Participates in TLC’s Hit Show Overhaulin’March 2006 - Boston Acoustics, Inc., a premier manufacturer of high performance audio solutions for use in aftermarket and OEM automotive systems, home music and audio/video systems, and custom built-in audio systems, announces their participation in the wildly popular TV series, Overhaulin'—now in its third season on TLC. Boston Acoustics has participated in two episodes that have already aired as part of Season Two. In "Firey Brit," an unsuspecting mother and owner of a 2005 Dodge Magnum received a Boston system as part of her overhaul—complete with the installation of Neo Type-M ambient tweeters in the A-Pillars, a G2-10 subwoofer in a custom enclosure in the right rear quarter-panel, and a GT-22 amplifier hidden away in the floor of the trunk, leaving the entire trunk space still available for storage. The "Navy Steal" episode featured a former Navy SEAL who named his beloved '65 Ford F-100 truck after a departed friend. His Boston system included two sets of Pro60 speakers, installed in the front kick panels and in the rear of the doors. GT-22 and GT-40 amplifiers were installed behind the seat of the truck, and a G2-10 sub was placed in a down-firing custom enclosure under the dash. "We are privileged to be working with the Overhaulin' crew. Chip Foose is a master of his craft, and the way his teams pull together to create these one-of-a-kind vehicles is incredible. It's a wonderful opportunity for us to be associated with the show," said Leif Blackmon, Director of Boston Acoustics Mobile Audio. "J & G Customs has been responsible for completing the Boston installations, and has done an outstanding job of designing systems that integrate perfectly within these masterpieces. It's not only a testament to their abilities, but also to the innovative design and engineering that go into each Boston Acoustics product." Season Three will include several more shows featuring Boston Acoustics mobile audio products, expected to air on March 7 and 28 and April 4 of 2006, with additional episodes yet be scheduled.
