Palm Announces Two Colorful Holiday Promotions Today Palm, Inc. announced two colorful holiday promotions. Palm customers who buy the Palm IIIc
handheld computer at the new low estimated street price of $329 (down from $399) will receive a special
ColorPak gift, which includes three color styli, a Palm IIIc luggage tag and a Holiday Promotion CD. The
special CD is a compilation of seven color applications that take advantage of the Palm IIIc handheld's
color features, including solutions for entertainment, drawing and eBook reading. In addition, Palm
customers who also purchase Kodak's PalmPix snap-on camera will receive a $30 Kodak rebate in
addition to the limited edition ColorPak.
The Palm IIIc is the lowest-priced color handheld on the market and offers users a crisp, clear screen for greater readability. At $329, Palm customers now can experience the true benefits of color with additional applications and snap-on accessories at an even more affordable price. The Palm IIIc offers 8MB of memory, which leaves plenty of room for color applications and photos. Palm users have access to the more than 10,000 Palm OS-based software titles, including a growing number of full, rich color solutions, and 500 snap-on devices designed by various members of the 100,000-plus Palm developer community. The Kodak PalmPix camera snaps on the bottom of the handheld and allows users to take high-quality, digital photographs they can view on their handheld and easily transfer to a computer through the HotSync operation.
