At just 3.04 lbs. and 1.03-inches thick, the Gateway LT3103u Netbook is super portable. It sports an 11.6-inch high-definition, LED-backlit display, along with a 1.2GHz Athlon 64 L110 processor with an integrated ATI Radeon X1270 graphics card. You can outfit this netbook with up to 2GB of RAM and 250GB of HDD. It also features a card reader, 802.11b/g, webcam, three USB 2.0 port, a 6-cell Li-ion battery and Windows Vista Basic.

Audio elements include Dolby Headphone Technology, built-in stereo speakers and a digital microphone. The LT3103u also comes equipped with a full size, comfortable keyboard and a multi-gesture touchpad to make it easy to navigate webpages.

The Toshiba NB205 is a 10-inch (1024 x 600) netbook that boasts your standard expected hardware features: 1.66GHz Atom processor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and Microsoft Windows XP. But, as a 10-inch netbook, it features a full size track pad and, according to Laptop Mag, an excellent keyboard.

Something else Laptop Mag found out was that you could get 8 hours and 33 minutes of real time battery life out of the 6 cell battery. Real time meaning continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi. At $400 with a 10-inch screen and an astonishing 8 ½ hour battery life, the Toshiba NB205 looks like one of the best netbooks out today.

Mio Technology Goes Big at Computex 2009

Mio announced 2 new TV PNDs, GPS Phones and 2 Litepad Series Netbooks at this year's Computex.

First, the winner of "Best Choice Award of Computex 2009," the Explora K75. This device is a PND and Smartphone combined, with an ultra-slim body, 3.5-inch touch screen and Mio Spirit mobile edition GPS. It will also operate on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

Meet the Mobinnova elan netbook

Developed by Mobinnova, the elan netbook made its debut this week at Computex. What makes this netbook so unique is that it claims it can show 5-10 hours of continuous HD video playback on a single charge or play up to 24 days of continuous audio playback on a single charge.

This 8.9-inch netbook weighs only 1.84 lbs (836g) and is .8 inches thick. Also, the elan will use NVIDIA's Tegra-based platform that supports accelerated Adobe Flash animations and 720p high-definition video playback.

The elan is fanless and boasts Wi-Fi and 3G wireless connectivity. There is no information regarding the price or release date. I am very intrigued by this netbook and I hope it will make its way to the U.S. Check out the full press release here.

Super-small UMID mBook M1 is now shipping worldwide

Online retailer, Justek, has just announced that it will be selling the UMID mBook M1 globally, starting today. There are two different versions available, a $659.42 Linux model and a $765.78 Windows XP model.

If you're looking for a very small netbook with a touch screen, then your search may be over. The UMID mBook M1 features a 4.8" touch screen along with a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 16GB SSD, Atom (1.3GHz) processor and 512MB of RAM. The $765.78 version will also include an 8GB microSD card. Also, Justek has said that the first 100 orders will receive FREE shipping, which is great considering they are located in Australia.

The MSI Wind U123 netbook was just released with a six-cell battery and weighs in at less than 3lbs. The Wind U123 can be upgraded with a nine-cell battery for an additional $30 and a little more added weight. Some of the key features include, an Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz) processor, 1GB of RAM, a 10.2-inch (1024×600) screen, 1.3 megapixel webcam and a 160GB hard drive.
