The latest Android application from DSG takes social photo sharing to a new level, making it easy for tablet and mobile users to view live, interactive slideshows with photos pulled directly from the mobile device as well as social media sites including Facebook , Flickr, and shwup. Metadata is pulled from photos where applicable including comments, likes and photo locations and is only available in full-screen mode. Skips Application for the PC; Becomes First to Release 3D Video Editing Technology for Android in the Compressed Domain

March 22, 2011 - muvee Device Solutions Group [DSG], the pioneer and leader in video editing applications for mobile devices, today announced the release of 3D video editing to accompany a suite of HD editing tools for Google's Android operating systems announced last month at Mobile World Congress.

muvee recently released CODEN (Compressed Domain Editing Engine), a technology stack that bypasses the need to decompress video before making basic edits. To add to this, muvee has now added enhancements to make this also work for 3D HD videos which could mean up to 2x the amount of video. Now HD 720p video files in 3D can be edited while in a compressed state with the muvee application.Read more

These folks have a huge challenge ahead of them. They're busting each other's chops trying to figure out exactly what tomorrow's TV entertainment is going to be like especially since people seem to want to push it to every screen you have (and even will be thinking about).

According to Pew, 62% of online users watched video through a sharing site in April. They found 19% of the folks also downloaded podcasts. Maybe that's why Nielsen Company reports that YouTube is pushing out about 1.2 billion streams every day!
