Star Wars, Star Wars Everywhere

On May 19th the final Star Wars movie, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, will be released into theatres everywhere. And behold, there is merchandise to go along with the film. Hasbro has released action figures, Attacktix (small figurines that you can play a game with), and other things that are sure to have Star Wars fans maxing out their credit cards faster than you can say ’Yoda’. And of course for the fans that like to practice their hand-eye coordination there is the Revenge of the Sith video game which looks as good as the actual movie. Also, board games have been released, Star Wars Risk: Clone Wars Edition which includes planets from the Star Wars galaxy, Star Wars Trilogy Trivial Pursuit and others. But watch out! If you buy the Star Wars Risk: Clone Wars Edition , and think you’re set for life you would be wrong, in 2006 there is a Star Wars Risk: Original Trilogy Edition. There are even lightsabers (the Jedi weapon) out so that people can recreate duels from the movies (yes, I will be doing this).

Of course, if you are truly a hardcore Star Wars fan you would get the new Sony Ericsson Z500a cell phone which is loaded with Star Wars ring tones, decals, wallpapers, and games. And I know that if you are a hardcore Star Wars fan you will be buying both the Anakin with lightsaber attack and Anakin with slashing attack (essentially the same thing but if you were hardcore you wouldn’t care now, would you?). And when drinking your soda while watching the movie you could be drinking out of your Revenge of the Sith Collectors Cup which is only available at Target. You know that this is going to be big when even M&M’s are celebrating. They have recently released the “Dark Side” M&M’s which are dark chocolate M&M’s. Alienware has a special edition Star Wars computer , complete with Star Wars skins, sound files, and fan club memberships.
