Best Buy Cuts Prices on Sprint Android Smartphones

Best Buy Mobile announced this week that they are cutting the prices on two Sprint smartphones, the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment . Both devices run on Google's Android operating system and sell for $99.99 (with instant rebates and new two-year activation). Both phones were $179.

The $99.99 price will run through December.

It seems that everywhere you look, there is a new Android device hitting the marketplace. Not to be outdone by T-Mobile's line-up, Sprint just announced that the Samsung Moment handset on the Android platform will be available on November 1, 2009.

Featuring built-in Google mobile services, such as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube, the Samsung Moment has a 3.2-inch AMOLED touch-screen and is powered by an 800 MHz processor.Read more
