Panasonic Unveils LUMIX DMC-G10, DMC-G2 Micro Four-Thirds Cameras

Panasonic has two new Micro Four-Thirds cameras hitting store shelves soon, the LUMIX DMC-G10 and LUMIX DMC-G2. The new G10 is touted as the "world's lightest digital interchangeable lens camera with a viewfinder" while the G2, another digital interchangeable lens camera, sports a movable LCD for touch-control.

The new LUMIX G10 shoots 12.1-megapixel still images and can record 1280 x 720 HD video in Motion JPEG, QVGA, VGA and WVGA formats. It comes packed with features such as iA (Intelligent Auto) mode for both still images and video, a range of AF modes, Venus Engine HD II technology, a Live View Finder, 26 Scene modes, and My Color mode with seven preset effects. Panasonic's 2010 LUMIX Digital Cameras Get Priced

Panasonic just announced pricing for its new line of LUMIX digital cameras - the LUMIX FH, FP and F- Series. The new LUMIX digital cameras will be hitting store shelves in mid-February 2010.

Three new LUMIX cameras will be available in the FH-Series, the FH1, FH3 and FH20. All three feature a 28mm wide-angle lens, record HD video, and feature Panasonics iA (Intelligent Auto) mode. The 12.1 megapixel LUMIX FH1 will be available for $159.95, the 14.1 megapixel LUMIX FH3 will be $179.95 and the 14.1 megapixel LUMIX FH20 has an MSRP of $199.95.

In Panasonic's FP Series, the LUMIX FP1 and FP3 both sport a 4x optical zoom with a folded optics design. New to the series is a lens cover that not only protects the lens, but acts as the camera's power switch. HD video recording is another new feature to this series, and the FP3 takes it a step further with the addition of a 3.0" touch-screen LCD.
