Lenovo Announces New ThinkPad Notebook and Tablet PCs

September 24, 2008 -- Lenovo today announced two new ThinkPad notebooks that significantly address the key factors mobile computer users consider today – light weight, long battery life and usability. With models starting at just 2.4 pounds and with models offering maximum battery life lasting up to more than 13 hours, the ThinkPad X200s notebook leads Lenovo’s business-class notebook portfolio for lightest weight and longest battery life. Lenovo’s new ThinkPad X200 Tablet PC also leads the industry for its light weight design, with models shedding almost 10 percent over the previous generation Tablet PC’s weight. Additionally, the Tablet PC also offers models with nearly 50 percent longer battery life.

August 19, 2008--Lenovo today announced the ThinkPad X301 notebook PC, taking the thinnest and lightest full-function notebook in its class, to new heights in performance. Lenovo Dives into Sub-Notebook Computing with its First Consumer Netbook

August 4, 2008--Lenovo today announced it is entering the “netbook” PC market with the new IdeaPad S10 netbook PC. Lenovo designed the super-slim, super-small IdeaPad S10 to complement a customer’s primary PC or as a first-time, introductory PC purchase. The IdeaPad S10 allows users to perform simple activities such as dive the Internet, check and write emails, listen to music and run basic applications. Lenovo also plans to introduce netbook models designed specifically for students and educators. Lenovo Debuts Its Latest Ready-to-Wear PC Fashion Accessory: IdeaPad U110

April 30, 2008 – Lenovo yesterday announced the availability of the IdeaPad U110 consumer notebook PC, the star of Lenovo’s IdeaPad entertainment and fashion-oriented notebook collection and winner of three Best-of-Show awards at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show. Lenovo to Offer Linux on ThinkPad Notebooks

August 6, 2007 -- Lenovo and Novell today announced an agreement to provide preloaded Linux on Lenovo ThinkPad notebook PCs and to provide support from Lenovo for the operating system. The companies will offer SUSE® Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 from Novell® to commercial customers on Lenovo notebooks including those in the popular ThinkPad T Series, a class of notebooks aimed at typical business users, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2007. The ThinkPad notebooks with the Linux-preload will also be available for purchase by individual customers.
