HP Wins Multiple Industry Awards at CES 2007

HP Introduces Two New Digital Entertainment Centers

Sept. 13, 2006 – HP today launched two new digital entertainment centers that combine the best of PC and advanced audio/visual technologies to offer consumers a superb home entertainment experience.

In addition, the company introduced a dedicated call center and training program to help custom installers integrate HP’s full range of digital entertainment offerings into home management solutions.

Showcased at the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) tradeshow, the new HP Digital Entertainment Centers (DEC) – the HP z565 and HP z560 – can be used as high-definition digital video recorders, allowing users to pause, rewind and record favorite shows. The DEC’s progressive scan DVD player creates an immersive home theater experience, and users can easily manage their music collections and create slideshows of their digital photos via a 9-in-1-card reader. HP Extends Intel Core 2 Duo Availability in Notebook PC Line

August 30, 2006 -- HP today announced that its consumer notebooks will be available for the first time with the Intel® Core 2 Duo mobile processor. The HP notebooks available with the latest Intel processor include the HP Pavilion dv6000 Entertainment Notebook PC, HP Pavilion dv9000 Entertainment Notebook PC and Compaq Presario V6000 Notebook PC. These notebooks are also available with the choice of mobile AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core and mobile AMD Sempron processors.

Best Buy to Offer HP Digital TVs

April 2006 -- HP has signed a national distribution agreement for its award-winning line of digital televisions with Best Buy Co., Inc., the nation’s largest electronics retailer.

Beginning in late April, Best Buy stores nationwide will offer HP high-definition TVs, including LCD and plasma models. In late August, Best Buy also will add HP’s groundbreaking MediaSmart TV in select U.S. markets. Read more
