Panasonic Lights the Way
When the lights go out, Panasonic's new
power-failure light comes to the rescue. The bright, six-watt fluorescent
lamp automatically turns on during power outages and, to conserve energy,
automatically shuts off when power is restored. It can be used for up to seven hours before
needing to be recharged.
The Panasonic SQT555 power-failure lamp features one of the longest operating times of any power-failure light on the market - a seven-hour operating time when in Low output mode, and up to three hours in High output mode. The rechargeable battery system means the lamp will always be ready for emergency situations. Plug the unit into the AC adaptor and a full charge will be reached in 10 hours. To help preserve battery life, an electronic battery protection system prevents the battery from being overcharged or fully drained.
In addition, the unit can be mounted to the wall for easy access and also features a built-in carrying handle.
Panasonic's SQT555 power-failure light is currently available for $39.99. www.panasonic.com
