Hi-Tech Tools
Good news for you do-it-yourselfers. Home projects may be just a little bit easier for you because of some new developments in tools.
Zircon Video Level
Hi-tech products are everywhere these days and now they’re making their way onto the workbench as well. Zircon has a great new product they’re calling the Video Level. Instead of a little air bubble, its got an LCD video monitor which shows you exactly how out of level you are. When you’ve achieved perfect leveling, it emits a continuous beep. Only $35, it’s a great hi-tech tool for the workbench. www.zircon.com
Dutch Boy Twist and Pour Can
This comes from the file of “why didn’t they think of this years ago”? This is a Dutch Boy paint can but it’s called the Twist and Pour can. It’s got a built in pourer on the front and a handle on the side so you can shake it with the cap on, no more need for the paint stick and it’s much cleaner and easier to use than the traditional paint can. Expect to pay about $14 dollars a gallon. www.dutchboy.com
Ryobi Drill/Radio
Finally, two products that are in every mans workbench -- an AM-FM radio and an electric drill are now combined into one. Ryobi has a great $50 portable electric drill with an AM-FM radio built into the base. You plug one product in and you’ve got your radio for when you’re doing projects and a high quality drill as well. www.ryobitools.com
