Loop Pointer In-Air Mouse Changes the Way You Control the Internet

 Loop Pointer

Many people are gravitating to the living room to view Internet entertainment on their televisions. Hillcrest Labs created a device with these people in mind, the Loop pointer. The Loop pointer is a wireless in-air mouse that lets you control an on-screen cursor with hand motions. Different from any mouse you've seen before, it has a round, ergonomic shape featuring just four buttons and a scroll wheel. To use, simply hold the device in any position, and control online video sites, photo sites, music sites, and more on the computer or TV screen.

Because of the Loop's innovative design and technology, the device was just named an International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree. Congrats, Hillcrest Labs!

The Loop pointer can be purchased at www.hillcrestlabs.com/loop or www.amazon.com for just $77 (regularly $99) as part of a current promotion.

Hillcrest Labs Announces In-Air Mouse for the TV

 Loop Pointer

Just in time for Father's Day, Hillcrest Labs has launched its Loop pointer for consumers. The Loop pointer is a unique Freespace mouse that lets users control an on-screen cursor with the flick of wrist. It is designed to be used by the growing number of consumers who connect their PC or Mac to a TV.

The Loop features a distinctive design, is round and ergonomic and includes four buttons and a scroll wheel. It's just like any other wireless mouse, but better.

Freespace Technology features:

  • High Accuracy/Precision: highly precise pointer which allows users to point to individual pixels on a high-resolution screen.
  • Orientation Compensation: regardless of the orientation of the device in space, it generates intuitive cursor motions on the screen.
  • Adaptive Tremor Removal: can distinguish between intentional and unintentional movement, including natural hand tremors. The Loop pointer dynamically measures each individual user's specific tremor and unintentional movements and removes them.
  • No Line-of-Site: uses RF (radio frequency) technology, so users do not need to point directly at the computer or TV screen. The Loop pointer is great for at-home use or in the office giving presentations.
