RedOctane’s Guitar Hero II Hits the Streets on November 7th

November 6, 2006--RedOctane, a leading rhythm-action videogame publisher, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc., today announced that Guitar Hero II for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system will be available on November 7.

To help celebrate the highly-anticipated launch, RedOctane is hosting an exclusive autograph signing tonight with Dave Navarro, renowned guitarist for popular rock band Jane’s Addiction, at Best Buy’s West Los Angeles location on Pico Boulevard and Sawtelle. Guitar Hero II demo kiosks will be on hand for fans to participate in the rock experience, and at the stroke of midnight, Guitar Hero II will be available for purchase. RedOctane Announces Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360

September 27, 2006 – Guitar Hero II is going to be rocking a new stage! RedOctane announced today that the Guitar Hero crew will bring their award-winning tour to the Xbox 360 game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

“The tour will continue the rockin’ gameplay Guitar Hero fans have come to enjoy, and will now include expanded Xbox 360 capabilities,” said Kai Huang, president of RedOctane. “With Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 rock rhythm, lead, or bass guitar tracks with downloadable content and the new X-Plorer controller, designed specifically for the Xbox 360."  Guitar Hero II For the college man, there is really no better partying video game than RedOctane’s Guitar Hero, and the soon to be released Guitar Hero II should be even more incredible. Playing the Playstation 2 controller-turned-axe along with true rock and roll songs provides a great soundtrack and perfect competition for hanging out with the guys. Notes appear on the screen, corresponding to the song you’re playing, and the right button must be struck at the proper time with a whammy bar supplying that extra touch to long notes.
