Futuristic Locator Device for Children from BrickHouse

 BrickHouse Child Locator

I was skeptical at first, and did not think this device was practical – I was wrong! The Brickhouse Child Locator provides a level of confidence when you find yourself out with children in public places. We live in different times, and protecting the children in our lives is a priority. The BrickHouse Child Locator was created to help parents maintain their children's safety. The device not only helps you directionally locate your child, but it sends a warning if your child wanders too far from the device. It also works well for pets!

Parents know children can disappear quickly. They are curious, and innocent which is a combination for exploration in their world. We take our kids everywhere, professional football games, amusement parks, camping, street festivals, and more. The kids wander and in seconds they are out of sight. The BrickHouse Child Locator is to be used as an aid, and not a replacement for parental supervision.

The feature I like the most is the "alert" with vibration alarms which beeps to warn you that a child has wandered off too far. Inside, the BrickHouse Child Locator device has a range of 250 feet, and outdoors it has a range of 600 feet. My wife and I had a great time playing hide-and-go-seek with our boys, and this device took our game to another level. Read more

AT&T Keeps Parents and Kids Connected With New AT&T FamilyMap Tool and Affordable New Devices

 AT&T FamilyMap and phone

April 15, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Staying "dialed" into your kids has never meant more. AT&T* today announced the availability of AT&T FamilyMap, a new tool that makes it easy to locate a family member's phone via web browser on a PC or mobile device. In addition, AT&T announced a new Mother's Day promotion featuring three Samsung quick messaging phones, each with a full keyboard that makes it easier to stay in touch, whether through text messaging, e-mail or AT&T FamilyMap.

AT&T FAMILYMAP

For on-the-go families, AT&T FamilyMap is a convenient new tool that lets customers see the location of family members on a map from a PC or AT&T wireless phone.

The service enables users to see details such as location on a map and surrounding landmarks like schools and parks. Users can also toggle between satellite and interactive street maps. Families can customize their mapping experience by assigning a name and photo to each device within their account, and can also label places they visit frequently, like "Home" or "Soccer Field."

Through the tool's schedule checks option, parents can receive alerts at specified times via text or e-mail. For example, parents could request a schedule check every weekday at 4 p.m. to check on their child's location. In another scenario, parents of a teenager who drives could use the tool to check on their child's location instead of calling or texting the teen, which might present a distraction while the teen is on the road.Read more
