Football games. Turning leaves. The comforter on the bed. First coldsnap. Spiraling energy bills signal the heat-guzzling fall and winter seasons. On the safety side, the Vornado IntelliTEMP delivers on four key fronts: a blocked airflow protection that automatically throttles back if airflow becomes blocked by curtains, clothes, blankets or other material, or, if it is tipped over; a cool touch cabinet and grill make the whole room heater better suited to human and pet traffic; and, the over-heat thermal breaker, with backup fuse controls over-heating common to other heaters. A non-glowing heat element mounted to non-flammable mica provides yet another layer of safety.

A straightforward control panel complements the stylish compact grill front and casing made with easy portability in mind. The easy-reach, top-mounted panel is centered on four smart button controls: variable heat setting, which gives a wide range of temperature settings; fan control, which provides dual function (variable or constant) speeds; heat control which generates variable heat output up to a maximum of 750 or 1,500 watts and an ergonomically-designed lighted switch which provides at-a-glance confirmation of power.

A cool-touch exterior and gentle heat output and variable heat setting is backed by similar safety features like automatic tip over and over-heat protection.

As the air’s velocity increases, the outgoing air is projected further into the room by the AirTensity Grill which creates a focused beam of air continuously directed to the opposite wall -- and then flowing back to the circulator.
