Vivendi Universal Games to Ship Bruce Lee: Return of the Legend

May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) announced today that Bruce Lee: Return of the Legend for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance will ship May 15, 2003 to Wal-Mart retail stores nationwide. Bruce Lee: Return of the Legend combines stealth and platform elements with classic Bruce Lee fighting action in a dramatic movie-like story line. The game's release marks the first time Bruce Lee fans will be able to play as a character based on the world-renowned martial arts legend on a handheld video game console.

Vicarious Visions, critically acclaimed for its work on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Crash Bandicoot series of handheld games, has developed a fast-paced 2D action-adventure with classic Bruce Lee fighting styles and compelling mission-based levels. In a movie-like storyline, players will step into the Bruce Lee role as the character Hai Feng, a skilled martial arts student who must defeat a new set of adversaries to find the assassin of his master.

Players must perfect a variety of martial arts moves including the fists of fury and become experts in the use of knockout darts, the bo staff and nunchakus. Hai Feng's quest sends players across the globe to international locations of mystery and intrigue.

"Vivendi Universal Games' goal with this title was to create an authentic and compelling Bruce Lee game that extends the Bruce Lee legacy," said Philip O'Neil, SVP Sales & Marketing, Vivendi Universal Games. "Bruce Lee: Return of the Legend continues to underscore VU Games' commitment to delivering top quality interactive games to handheld enthusiasts."

"Bruce Lee: Return of the Legend" for Game Boy Advance has been rated E for Everyone with violence by the ESRB.
