June 14, 2005 -- In a recent survey done by an independent research company, visitors to the newly re-opened George Dickel Distillery rated the experience an overwhelmingly positive one. Ninety-four percent of the 601 respondents said they "definitely would" recommend the tour to others and the remaining six percent said they "probably would." The survey, conducted by PERT Survey Research of Bloomfield, CT was designed to gauge consumer reaction to the tour and staff at the Distillery, establish an objective profile of the participating tour customers and measure the geographical draw of the tour. Virtually all of the consumers who visited the George Dickel Distillery consider the Distillery, the tour and the Welcome Center excellent, and report that the tour exceeded their expectations. They also rate the staff and tour guides highly. When asked for feedback on their overall experience at the George Dickel Distillery, consumers unaidedly mention the knowledgeable and friendly staff, and warm atmosphere.

"The data confirms that we are successful in our ambition to provide a consumer experience that reflects the brand's historical identity and handmade craftsmanship." said Tom Bonaventura, Brand Manager for George Dickel.

Continuing the tradition that started in 1870, the George Dickel Distillery officially re-opened on September 16, 2003 to resume production of its award winning George Dickel No. 12 and No. 8 Tennessee Whiskies. In October 2004, the George Dickel Distillery Tours premiered, offering consumers the opportunity to visit the Tennessee-based distillery for a guided tour to learn about the history and creation of George Dickel products. The tours currently operate Tuesday to Saturday from 9AM to 4PM, except for major holidays. For more information, visit www.georgedickel.com.
