United Airlines Announces Automated Refunds and Exchanges Through United.com

Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Airlines today announced Refunds and Exchanges, a set of major enhancements to United.com that gives customers new power to manage their travel plans online. Beginning today, United customers can quickly and easily change their itinerary, exchange E-tickets, and process resultant refunds and charges over the Internet at United.com. These new online features apply to all United tickets purchased over the phone, through travel agents, at United.com and at most Internet travel agencies.

"We are thrilled to offer our customers this powerful new functionality through United.com," said Pete Peterson, President Travel Distribution, UAL Loyalty Services. "The ability to seamlessly change flights, exchange E-tickets and process refunds -- all online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week -- gives United flyers more flexibility, convenience and control over their travel plans than ever. The Refunds and Exchanges feature not only helps United customers to be 'travel ready' when they arrive at the airport, but even allows them to make changes to their itinerary after travel has started."

The Refunds and Exchanges feature is found on United's home page at www.united.com . To access active itineraries, customers simply click the "Change Itinerary" link under the Travel Support tab, where they will be prompted to enter their Mileage Plus number.
