Thermador Unveils New Professional Series Appliances

April 2004 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on its strong heritage as the classic American appliance brand, Thermador heralded its most advanced lineup of luxury kitchen products at the 2004 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. Adding to the company's expanding suite of bold and powerful appliances, Thermador introduces the latest generation of its category-leading Professional Series ranges and cooktops, as well as a new 30" wall oven, dishwasher and built-in refrigeration at the Thermador Icon Lounge, an opulent setting featuring a live piano bar and dance performances.

To highlight the power, performance and style of the new Professional Series, Thermador will team with celebrity chef Jacques Haeringer to create The Professional Series Experience, a unique live cooking display and tasting on Friday 4/2 and Saturday 4/3. Chef Haeringer will demonstrate the new Professional Series Range's capabilities with recipes that have been included in his cookbooks, television shows and restaurant, L'Auberge Chez François.

Professional Series
The new Professional Series ranges and cooktops have more advanced features for a higher standard of performance. Thermador's legendary Star Burner is redesigned as a 3-in-1burner unlike any other on the market today. Its triple advantages include 15,000 BTUs for fast boiling and high performance; unique star-shaped burners and new burner cap design for more even and powerful heat distribution; and the patented ExtraLow simmer, which electronically cycles the flame on and off as a practical warming capability for melting chocolate or keeping sauces warm without scorching.

Thermador also delivers the ultimate in oven performance with new convection and electronic control systems. Based on the convection system developed for Thermador's top-rated wall ovens, the new Professional Series Range oven offers dual heating action for superbly balanced temperatures throughout the oven for faster and better full-meal cooking. In addition, Thermador's exclusive electronic control system quickly responds to changes in oven temperature to ensure efficient and consistent cooking.

SEM/SEMW 30" Wall Oven
As the original creator of the built-in wall oven category, Thermador's new 30" SEM/SEMW double/triple wall oven joins an acclaimed lineup. Featuring either a microwave (SEM) or microwave/warming drawer (SEMW) combination, the new configurations come with the S Series wall oven, which has been the top rated oven by a leading consumer magazine for two years running.

With a concealed bake element and more heavy-duty racks, the new oven offers true convection for multi-level cooking without the transfer of flavors or aromas. The concealed bake element offers more cooking space and makes the cavity easier to clean. Sens-A-Touch digital controls are enhanced with an alphanumeric display to easily guide the user in programming an increased number of cooking modes. New features also include a temperature-controlled meat probe and a different location for the soft halogen lighting, which is now placed on the top of the cavity for better visibility when the oven door is closed.

HD Dishwasher
The new HD lineup is a major advancement for Thermador in terms of power and performance, making it America's most powerful dishwasher. Building upon the previous generation 4-cycle dishwashers, the new 10-cycle HD guarantees extremely clean results through a multitude of intelligent programs and options. This increase in power is placed simply within your reach via the intuitive Sens-a-Touch sensor control panel that practically automates your dishwashing needs.

Strong yet extremely efficient, the HD can handle any cleaning job from a regular load to hard, stuck-on food. The new PowerBoost option tackles upwards of 12 place settings, but cuts the cycle time to 60 minutes without sacrificing performance.
