May 2003-- Talkway Communications (www.talkway.com) announces an amazing new feature on its VMailTalk Express video e-mail product for Outlook Express that gives users the ability to import video taken with a digital camera and send it to friends, family members and business associates. With the new addition to VMailTalk Express, users no longer have to own a Web camera to record a video e-mail. They now can take their digital camera on the go to record video of weddings and parties, sporting events, meetings or any activity, import it into their computer and distribute it as they would with any text e-mail message.

While many of today’s digital cameras have the ability to record and store video, successfully e-mailing out home video has always been a challenge because of large file sizes and ISP, software or bandwidth restrictions. Talkway simplifies this entire process making it easy for users on all platforms, irrespective of bandwidth, to send video. The new feature within VMailTalk Express allows users to import a video into the software, compress it and distribute it via e-mail. Users and recipients of the video alike will reap the benefits of Talkway’s sophisticated technology. The video files are streamed from Talkway’s servers, which bypasses ISP file download restrictions. Furthermore, no additional software is needed to view the video e-mail. Recipients will automatically see the video play within the body of the e-mail.

“Based on the overwhelming success of Talkway’s VMailTalk video e-mail solution, it is only natural that we would add a feature that allows users to import and send digital video from mobile devices,” states Fabrice Hamaide, CEO of Talkway Communications. “With the hectic lifestyle of today’s high-tech consumers, many people do not have the time to sit in front of their computer to create video e-mail. The new VMailTalk Express feature lets users create videos of their favorite activities and easily e-mail them to colleagues, friends, associates and loved ones without the hassle of large file attachments.”

To activate the new feature, VMailTalk Express incorporates an icon that users click which will bring up a window that allows them to select the desired file, once the video has been downloaded to their computer. After the user has selected the file, they simply click on the "open" button to start importing the video. Once the import process is completed, which usually just takes seconds, the video will automatically start playing within the preview window. When the user is ready to distribute the video, they just push the send button and out it goes!

The VMailTalk Express feature can be used with any digital camera that takes video in .avi, .mpg or .mpeg file formats.

VMailTalk Express provides users with simple-to-use controls to create and send video e-mails directly from today’s popular email programs. The VMailTalk graphical user interface is completely integrated into the user’s existing email software and incorporates video camera controls as well as a live feed from the user’s camera.

Talkway Communications has achieved extraordinary success by offering an array of streaming audio and video solutions for individuals, corporate users and E-marketing professionals, all based on their proprietary audio and video compression technology.
