Stroller Strides and BOB to Offer New Stroller

March 2005 – For the first time ever, new parents can purchase a completely unique, customized stroller exercise program when they buy the new Stroller Strides Fitness Stroller by BOB.

BOB, manufacturer of some of the most popular strollers in the U.S. has teamed up with Stroller Strides, the stroller exercise program offered nationwide, to introduce the new Stroller Strides Fitness Stroller, available in stores January 2005. The bright red stroller prominently displays the Stroller Strides name and logo and is sold with an instructional exercise booklet that provides step-by-step instructions along with exercise tubing – thus, emulating the total body workout that is provided in an actual Stroller Strides class.

The Stroller Strides Fitness Stroller is designed for children from six months up to 70 lbs., and features a 12” rotating front wheel for easy maneuverability (the wheel also locks when straight tracking is desired, for jogging or rigorous exercise). Safety features on the stroller include a parking break; an adjustable, color-coded 5-point safety harness; and a large, protective sun canopy. The stroller also has kid-friendly features such as a shock absorber to take the bounce out of the ride, a wide reclining padded seat and lots of storage space for toys and snacks. It is easy to fold and fits into the trunk of even the smallest compact car.

“BOB strollers are a natural fit for participants of the Stroller Strides program – or anyone who can’t get to a class or the gym – since they are durable, sturdy and performance-oriented,” explained Damon Noller, VP of sales and marketing for BOB. Noller went on to say that the Stroller Strides Fitness Stroller expands the use of conventional strollers in a positive way. “This program effectively underlines the importance of making time for exercising, and also turns exercise time into family time,” he said.
