March 2005 - Construction on Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, the largest expansion in the history of Six Flags Great America, in Gurnee, IL, remains on schedule for a late spring 2005 opening and will be free with regular theme park admission, according to Six Flags officials.

Carrying the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor brand name, this massive new outdoor water park features Caribbean theming with more than 25 major water slides, a gigantic family water playground with the world's largest interactive waterplay structure, a 500,000 gallon wave pool, half-mile long adventure river and hours of activities for the whole family. Guests can also enjoy Six Flags Great America's 100 thrilling attractions, including 13 world-class coasters, two interactive children's areas and exciting shows-all for one low price.
