SiPix Introduces Combination Digital Video and Still Camera For Under $100

Feb. 9 -- SiPix, Inc. today announced the iQuest DualCam for capturing both desktop video and crisp still digital pictures. SiPix will demonstrate the new iQuest DualCam at the PMA Conference and Tradeshow in Orlando, Florida, February 11-14, 2001, booth #825. The SiPix iQuest DualCam is due to begin shipping later this month at a suggested retail price of $99.
The SiPix iQuest DualCam is a full-featured USB video camera, video conferencing camera, and digital camera all in one, offering VGA video at up to 30 fps. Featuring a three mode built-in flash, the camera can be untethered from the PC and used inside or outdoors, day or night, to capture 640 x 480 dpi pictures. Included are such extra features as a 10-second self-timer and a video-out port. Using the included software, users can turn their video clips into video mail, have live video conferences and much more. The feature-rich iQuest DualCam is well positioned in what could be the hottest sector of the digital camera market. The SiPix iQuest DualCam, with a suggested retail price of $99, includes a tilt swivel base, AC power adapter, USB cable, video cable, camera strap, 2 AA alkaline batteries, owner's manual, and a CD-ROM containing MGI's PhotoSuite III SE, TeVeo VIDiO Suite, Odyssey Multimedia and iQuest TWAIN driver. The camera is backed by a one-year warranty and toll free technical support offered for one year from purchase.
