Sinn model 156MIL military wristwatchPremier German watchmaker Sinn GmbH has announced their intent to offer their heretofore unavailable Sinn model 156MIL military wristwatch to consumers. This timepiece features a variety of specialized military features and has been issued to Bundeswehr (German Army) personnel, among other military units. “We’ve been requesting for some time that Sinn consider a wider distribution of this model than was previously available, and we’re delighted with their decision,” said Mike Rivkin, President of Sinn’s USA master distributor Deutsche Optik. “We’ve had many questions and requests for this model from various American markets, and we anticipate considerable pent-up demand.”

The Sinn 156MIL features a premium Swiss Lemania 5100 automatic movement, special high-contrast dial with critical indicator hands tipped in red, full chronograph functionality, rotating bezel, and quick-set day/date indicator. The timepiece is water resistant to 10 atmospheres of pressure, and its 43mm case diameter is among the largest that Sinn offers. The standard model also includes a black hand-stitched leather band. As with other Sinn models, the Sinn 156MIL will be available through Deutsche Optik’s military timepieces catalogue War Timers and will also be subject to limited distribution through selected nationwide dealers. Complete with display box and three (3) year warranty, it is expected to sell for around $1300.
