Ryobi Expands One+ 18-Volt Tool System

May 2005 – With the introduction of the revolutionary 18-volt One+ System in 2004, Ryobi delivered on its promise to change the way consumers think about and purchase cordless power tools.

Right Angle Drill

Trimmer
The One+ 18-volt Trimmer, Model P600, is a tool every woodworker will want in their shop. It features an oversized spindle lock for quick one-wrench bit changes as well as a cam lever clamp for secure height adjustments. It’s compact design makes one handed laminate trimming a snap but still provides full power and fast, efficient trimming with 26,000 RPM. The One+ Trimmer can be found at The Home Depot for $49.97

Corner Cat
Ryobi’s Corner Cat finish sander has been part of the corded power tool line-up for years. Ryobi decided it was time to add it the cordless side as well. The new One+ 18-volt Corner Cat, Model P400, is the first cordless finish sander with corded performance. Accessory sanding, scrubbing and polishing pads are included to help with buffing, cleaning and polishing. The Corner Cat is designed for fine sanding in corners and between chair rungs and is perfect for sprucing up and refinishing furniture. It features a hook and loop accessory fastening system for added convenience as well as an overmold grip for increased comfort. Caulk Gun
The Ryobi One+ 18-volt Caulk and Adhesive Gun, Model P310, is another great addition to the One+ System. This new power caulk gun takes the work out of a variety of caulking tasks, such as caulking kitchen and bathroom fixtures, even new or replacement windows. The 18-volt caulk gun features a variable speed lever that allows users to adjust the rate of flow of caulk, glue or whatever material is being applied. It also features a lock-off switch to prevent any accidental start-ups or dripping. The caulk gun can be found at The Home Depot for $49.97.

In-Vehicle Charger
In addition to the four new tools Ryobi is introducing, a One+ 18-volt In-Vehicle Charger with carrying case, Model P130, is being added to the line-up. Ryobi’s car charger plugs into the 12-volt DC outlet located in vehicles, to give consumers the flexibility to charge batteries while driving or when there is limited access to power. A protective circuitry automatically shuts down the charger and alerts the owner when the vehicle battery is too low. The car charger is sold at The Home Depot for $29.97 and like all other chargers in the One+ System, will charge all past and current 18-volt batteries.
