Royal Palm Hotel, Galapagos Islands Announces Rates Through 2003

November 2002-- Millennium Hotels and Resorts' Royal Palm Hotel, Galapagos Islands, which welcomed its first guests in early 2002, has now announced rack rates for the remainder of 2002 and the whole of 2003.

The Royal Palm Hotel, the only premier hotel in the Galapagos National Park, is located on Santa Cruz Island. A 500-acre resort surrounded by lush tropical forests, it offers 17 exclusive accommodations comprised of suites, villas and verandah studio rooms, two restaurants, a swimming pool, health club with full service spa, tennis courts and a business center with meeting facilities. The hotel also features a Galapagos Museum and Observatory as well as a full range of recreational and touring opportunities. Decorated with Galapageño art and furniture, each guest room features a private Jacuzzi, satellite television, Internet access, DVD and CD player, direct dial telephone and mini-bar. Royal Palm Hotel is located just 20 minutes from Puerto Ayora, the main port for cruising the Galapagos Islands, and 40 minutes from Baltra Airport, with daily flights to Quito and Guayaquil.

The rates include:

• Luxurious accommodation, single or double occupancy
• Access to Royal Palm Hotel's Airport VIP room in Baltra (open bar, hors d'oeuvres, internet access, conference room.)
• Ground transportation from Baltra airport to hotel
• Crossing the Itabaca Canal by yacht
• American breakfast
• Use of on-site library, observatory, resource center and health and leisure facilities (excluding all treatments and equipment hire)
• Third person at $125 additional per night. Possible in villas.
• Children under 12 share adults' room free- maximum 1. Only possible in villas and Royal Suite

*Excursions prices are not included in the above costs but can be booked by the hotel. Prices are subject to 10% service and 12% tax.

*Reservations will be on a request basis & the hotel will confirm directly to the customer by e-mail and then follow up with the pack. Packages are requested on the website as additional services such as an overnight in Quito. Internal flights are to be confirmed by the hotel. Payment can be made by banker's draft, check, or credit card. A 50% deposit on day of reservation is required and full payment must be made 45 days prior to stay at hotel. For a full refund, cancellation must be made 30 days prior to stay at hotel.
