Polaroid and Nike Hit the Street with Nike Runamok PicCreated specifically for the i-Zone camera's biggest fans -- girls ages 12 to 17 -- the Nike Runamok Pic's most prominent feature is a clear window built into the top of the shoe where a teen can display her favorite i-Zone photo. The window allows photos to be easily switched to reflect mood or identify a best friend or object of affection. "Polaroid is committed to building the i-Zone franchise with products that continually meet the needs and ever-changing tastes of today's teens. Our collaboration with Nike demonstrates that commitment," said Xanthe Samaras, Polaroid divisional vice president of marketing. "Combining fashion and photos is a great way for teens to express their individuality." The companies have teamed up with Seventeen Magazine for a "Best Friend Search" in select Journeys stores nationwide. The contest will incorporate the Nike Runamok Pic and the i-Zone Instant Pocket Camera. The grand prize winning teens will have their picture appear in Seventeen. In addition, co- branded advertisements for the shoe will appear in national teen magazines beginning in May. As part of the relationship with Nike, Polaroid has included a bonus co- branded shoe clip in specially marked packages of i-Zone Instant Pocket Sticker Film. The shoe clip, which attaches to any pair of shoes, holds an i- Zone picture. The Nike Runamok Pic is available in three color schemes: cadet blue and light hot red, gray and citrus, and white and plum. It comes in women's sizes five to 12 and sells for a suggested retail price of $64.99**. The shoes are available now in Niketown, Journeys and at select Foot Locker stores. The Polaroid i-Zone Convertible Instant Pocket Camera ($29.99**), the original i-Zone Instant Pocket Camera ($24.99**) and i-Zone Pocket Film ($6.99** sticker; $5.99** non-sticker) are currently available at mass market, photo specialty and select toy stores nationwide. Information about i-Zone cameras, film and accessories is available at i-zone.com. Journeys will sell the cameras and film beginning this month.
