Polaroid and Avery Announce Easy-To-Create Instant Photo ID Badge Kit
April 10 -- Polaroid Corporation and Avery Dennison Corporation have launched an affordable, easy-to-create instant photo identification badge kit that contains everything needed to produce cut-and-paste photo ID badges.
The Polaroid Pocket ID instant camera along with easy-to-print-and-format name badges from Avery Dennison are included in each kit. This is the second product launched by the two corporations after forming a global strategic marketing alliance announced last year. The alliance combines instant imaging solutions from Polaroid with Avery brand self-adhesive and other labeling, printing and organizing solutions.
"Until the launch of the Pocket ID Kit, there was not a complete solution for cut-and- paste identification badges that did not require expensive cameras and film, cutting and high pressure lamination," says Barbara Poremba, group marketing manager, special events, Polaroid Corporation. "The pocket camera film format makes it easy to take one appropriate sized portrait for the Avery badge blanks."
"This is a product that shows the strength of our alliance," says Galen Wong, marketing director, organization and presentation products, Avery Dennison. "With a great instant imaging solution from Polaroid and easy-to- format-and-print name badges from Avery Dennison, businesses and other organizations now have a quick, affordable name badge solution."
Creating a Pocket ID badge can be done quickly and easily via computer or by hand. With a computer and a laser or inkjet printer, company specific layouts can be created. Badges also may be hand lettered or custom printed by a local printer.
The new identification kit targets organizations that require occasional name badge solutions for various individuals, including temporary workers, part-time staff and cleaning crews; construction, electrical and plumbing contractors who must enter private property to conduct their business; civic organizations, clubs, special events and sports teams; and schools that create matching child/parent safety credentials for increased security.
The Pocket ID includes a Polaroid Pocket ID instant camera, two 12-exposure packs of sticky back instant film, two AA alkaline batteries, 24 Avery badge blanks and 24 badge clips.

The Polaroid Pocket ID has a suggested U.S. retail price of $68.99. Refill kits that include two 12-exposure packs of sticky back instant film, 24 badge blanks and clips are available for a suggested list price of $40.99.
