Pictographics Releases iCorrect 4.0 Color Correction Software for Windows XP
August 9, 2002-Burnsville, MN-Pictographics International Corporation, a leading developer of digital color technology software, announces the release of iCorrect 4.0, a fast and easy color correction program for digital photos. Designed for Windows XP, iCorrect 4.0 adds "point and click" color correction technology to Windows XP's imaging tools. Based on Pictographics' patent pending technology found in iCorrect Professional, winner of PEI Magazine's Cool2 award for best Photoshop plug-in, iCorrect 4.0 is the closest thing to one-click color correction. Pictographics president, Wayne Huelskoetter states, "With Windows XP, Microsoft has given users the tools to unlock the power of digital photography, and iCorrect 4.0 takes Windows XP even further.
iCorrect 4.0 integrates with Windows XP to help users take their digital photography workflow to the next level. As Wayne Huelskoetter states, “Photo enthusiasts no longer need to rely on various complex imaging programs for downloading, viewing, color correcting, organizing, printing and sending their digital photos, With Windows XP and iCorrect 4.0, you can do it all in one fell swoop! In effect, with Windows XP, iCorrect 4.0 and a color printer you have your own in-home digital photo kiosk."
Huelskoetter goes on to say, "When you think about it, much of what most people want to do with their digital pictures before viewing, printing, or sharing them is simply make the color right. iCorrect 4.0 adds the one thing needed by all digital camera users - quick and easy color correction. It was an easy decision for us to incorporate our iCorrect plug-in technology into a Windows XP stand-alone application and participate in Microsoft's Designed for Windows XP Logo Program. By meeting the quality standards of the Designed for Windows XP Logo Program, customers are guaranteed to have a rich experience when using iCorrect 4.0 with Windows XP to color correct their digital pictures."
Digital cameras are among the hottest things going, but they all suffer the same problem - accurate color capture. Until now, the only way to make the color right was to learn a complex image editing program and rely on frustrating, time-consuming tools like curves, sliders or variations. With iCorrect 4.0, you can make the color right by simply clicking on the picture. iCorrect 4.0 automatically makes the darks darker and whites whiter; adjusts brightness and contrast; removes unwanted color cast; corrects common reference colors including neutrals, skin tones, sky blue and foliage green. iCorrect 4.0 works equally well on all digital pictures whether they come from a digital camera, a scanner, a picture CD, or an online photo sharing service.
iCorrect 4.0 supports both 24-bit and 48-bit images and accepts standard bitmap, JPEG and Raw TIFF files, including LZW compressed files. Using the Auto Queuing feature, image files can be queued up for rapid sorting and color correction. The color corrected image files can be stored in separate "iCorrect" folders for easy printing or sending using the Windows XP Picture and Fax Viewer. iCorrect 4.0 is priced at $39.95 and is available at www.picto.com.
A free demo version is also available at www.picto.com .
