Pandromeda Joins 3Dlabs To Train 3D Professionals at SIGGRAPH 2003
July 22, 2003 -- Pandromeda Inc. will join fellow 3D software leaders Alias, Discreet and Side Effects in showcasing their professional planet modeling and rendering software, MojoWorld Generator 2.0 during a series of hands-on training sessions in 3Dlabs booth (2814) during SIGGRAPH 2003. The virtual planetary creation and exploration focused training sessions will be conducted by Pandromeda founder and CEO, Ken Doc Mojo Musgrave. Dr. Musgrave, whose doctorate work centered on fractal generated landforms and artistry, is the foremost expert and researcher in the field and holder of several patents on virtual planet creation.
During our sessions participants will take a first hand journey through the alternate universe that is MojoWorld said Musgrave. We will literally create a world and walk upon its surface. It s the next generation of landscape development -- unlike other landscape software that uses planes and 3D fakery, MojoWorld actually places you in a world where everywhere you look you see detail and beauty.
Pandromeda was invited by 3Dlabs to present these exciting sessions during SIGGRAPH as part of a showcase of industry shaping technologies. Both companies are working toward the industry-wide adoption of the OpenGL Shading Language , which will enable 3D developers to use one high-level shading language on any platform or for any graphics card. 3Dlabs' customers and graphics professionals alike, who need to create highly detailed and fantastic photo-realistic worlds as part of their creative workflow will quickly come to understand why Generator 2.0 is an essential part of any creative designer's toolbox, said Clifton Robin, brand manager for 3Dlabs. The depth of user control required to create an imagined world and render it with pixel perfect clarity is what makes MojoWorld the only choice for this type of 3D design and development. 3Dlabs is very pleased to have Doc Mojo presenting Pandromeda s cutting-edge technology as part of our training offerings.
The Pandromeda sessions will be offered all three days of the SIGGRAPH convention in the 3Dlabs booth #2814. The schedule for Pandromeda s MojoWorld training will be:
Tuesday, 29 th at 5:15 PM
Wednesday, 30 th at 10 AM
Thursday, 31 st at 1:45 PM
A complete training session schedule can be found on 3Dlabs corporate website at http://www.3dlabs.com/events/siggraph2003/index.htm.
Participants of the Pandromeda sessions will also be entered to win a memory-packed 3Dlabs Wildcat VP990 Pro graphics accelerator with 512 MB of onboard memory
