New Panasonic TripleTalk 2.4GHZ GigaRange Digital Cordless Phone Systems

October 28, 2002 -- With Panasonic's two new TripleTalk GigaRange expandable cordless phone systems, users can enjoy the conveniences of high-end calling features in multiple areas of their homes or small businesses, without the need for separate phones or access to phone jacks for each handset. Each system includes a feature-packed base station, charger and two cordless handsets, and is able to share features like built-in phone directories and Caller ID Memory with one-touch dialer with a third, optional cordless handset.

"The new TripleTalk multi-handset phone system is extremely easy to set up," said Frank Lasorsa, Assistant General Manager for Panasonic's Communications/Home Office Products Division. "Just connect the master base unit to the phone line and plug in the AC charging cradle for each cordless handset and the system is ready for use."

In addition to reaping the benefits offered by clear, long-range, cordless 2.4GHz technology, each handset user can also take advantage of speakerphone capability, three-way conferencing between two handsets and an outside caller, and a variety of other advanced features.

Operating on the ultra-clear 2.4GHz Frequency Band and using Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) Digital Operation, new models KX-TG2352 and KX-TG2382 transmit or "spread" their signal over many frequencies per second, which helps to assure a private conversation. Additionally, for clear, reliable operation, Panasonic's 90-channel auto scanning system automatically scans available channels for the next clear one before the user even initiates a call.

The systems are also Caller ID compatible, helping the user better decide whether or not to take the call. When used in conjunction with Call Waiting Caller ID, the multifunction, backlit, three-line LCD display on the handset will show each caller's complete information without additional scrolling.

The handset's LCD also provides users with easy access to phone numbers saved in the telephone's Caller ID memory with instant callback capability. Each cordless handset has a memory capacity for 30 names and numbers. Handset LCDs also show "line in use," and display other icons for system status.

These new expandable multi-handset systems can also save your most-frequently dialed phone numbers in an alphabetical directory. Both systems feature a 30-station phone directory with dialer on each handset.

A convenient navigator key allows users to easily scroll through information saved in the phone's directories and Caller ID Memory, set the handset and ringer volume, or program the telephone for other functions.

Each handset also features a speakerphone, a lighted keypad, belt clip and headset jack for connection to headsets equipped with a 2.5mm connection jack.

Designed to work in conjunction with phone company subscription voice mail services, the KX-TG2352W system has a voice mail message-waiting indicator to let you know when a message has been saved in your voice mailbox.

Step-up model KX-TG2382B has a built-in, all-digital answering machine with 15-minute recording time for incoming and outgoing messages. The system is highlighted by advanced messaging features such as remote message and mailbox access from any handset, full voice prompts, and time with date stamps for each message recorded.

The optional KX-TGA230W/B cordless handset, available separately, features 2.4GHz Frequency-Hopping Digital Spread Spectrum (FHSS), Call Waiting Caller ID with 30-station memory, handset speakerphone, three-way conferencing, line status indicator, three-line, backlit, handset LCD, 30-station phone directory and dialer, two-way intercom, six selectable ring tones, headset jack and belt clip, low-battery indicator and three-level handset volume control. The KX-TGA230W/B is also wall mountable.

Both systems and the optional third handset are available in both black and white.
