New NEC MultiSyncLCD1800 Flat Panel Monitor
"With the introduction of the NEC MultiSync LCD1800, NEC-Mitsubishi continues to fulfill its promise to incorporate the best of NEC's and Mitsubishi's technologies to deliver premium displays with the most sophisticated technology available, at an aggressive price point," said Chris Connery, product line manager, NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America. "As the global leader in the flat panel display category, NEC-Mitsubishi will continue to leverage its synergies in manufacturing, engineering, marketing, research and development to offer the widest variety of desktop display solutions."
With an 18.1-inch viewable image area and native 1280 x 1024 UXGA resolution, the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 is designed for direct analog input, allowing for instant compatibility with the majority of video cards on the market. NEC-Mitsubishi's newest addition offers all the benefits of an LCD monitor -- including low heat and radiation emissions, reduced power consumption and improved resolution. Weighing only 18.1 pounds and measuring 8.8-inches deep with the stand, the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 is ideal for work environments with space or weight constraints.
The NEC MultiSync LCD1800 incorporates advanced features to ensure that professionals enjoy advantages usually available in high-end models, such as flexible viewing angles and superior color. The first NEC flat panel monitor to incorporate Mitsubishi's ColorView Natural Color Matrix, the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 allows professionals to control and adjust a single color without affecting the hues of other colors. Mitsubishi's ColorView Natural Color Matrix supports the new international sRGB color reproduction standard, advocated by predominant companies in the industry including Microsoft and Hewlett Packard. The new standard outlines the foundations for a clearly defined, uniform and rich color environment to ensure that colors remain true. With Mitsubishi's ColorView Natural Color Matrix, the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 enhances professionals' viewing experiences by preserving the screen's white balance and allowing users to independently control red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow.
The NEC MultiSync LCD1800 is also equipped with NEC's XtraView Technology to enable an ultra-wide viewing angle of 170 degrees left-to-right and up-and- down, 85 degrees from the center. Multiple users can now view images in both portrait and landscape orientation, without having to sit directly in front of the screen.
Additional Innovations
Innovations that enhance the performance and quality for the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 include:
- Flexible mounting options, which adhere to the VESA industry standard, allow NEC's MultiSync monitors to be mounted flush against a wall or on an articulating arm. In addition, the NEC MultiSync monitors exceed NUTEK's and Energy Star's requirements for reduced power consumption.
- OSM on-screen controls enable users to easily and efficiently refine their screen image for perfect centering, and adjust brightness and contrast in both landscape and portrait modes.
"With advanced features, innovative technology, superior image quality and aggressive price, the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 makes it extremely affordable for professionals to upgrade to an 18-inch flat panel display," said Todd Fender, product manager, NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America. "The addition of the NEC MultiSync LCD1800 reinforces NEC-Mitsubishi's commitment to advancing LCD desktop display technology while continuing to offer a wider variety of price and performance options to our customers."
