New Call INTERCEPTOR ID Gives Total Control to Home Telephone Users
December 2004 – For most people, the household telephone is as much a nuisance as a necessity. Telemarketers, wrong numbers, inconveniently timed and/or undesirable calls have virtually eroded personal control of home telephones. Telemarketing elimination devices have been outwitted by technology and rendered obsolete, and although many phones have caller ID features, unwanted phone calls are still interrupting peaceful hours at home.
The new Person-to-Person Telephone Management System, from Solutions Marketing, Inc., incorporates new Interceptor ID, allowing people to take total control of their household phones effectively and affordably. Launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2004, the device combines a router with Interceptor ID (identification technology) and utilizes Caller ID in a simple compact system to manage incoming telephone calls and track outgoing calls. The system also allows calls from friends and family to ring through, while blocking unwanted calls from telemarketers and unknown or undesired parties. And by adding Person-to-Person Receivers to individual phones on one phone line, calls can be routed to specific phones in the home while keeping the other phones silent.
The Person-to-Person System operates by creating a personal contact database, which stores more than 175 contact records. The database automatically compiles lists and tracks incoming and outgoing calls, letting only approved numbers ring into the home. It requires no complicated installation and simply connects between the wall jack and the phone. The unit’s small profile, about the size of a desk calculator, makes it easy to place near any phone in the home.
The Person-to-Person System offers full customization through proprietary technology that allows users to program specific area codes, a last name or an individual phone number as criteria to ring, screen or block incoming calls. In addition, it automatically determines which calls you wish to receive and which should be routed to voicemail or an answering machine. The exclusive sleep timer function allows all calls to be routed to an answering machine or to a voice mail system for a given period of time preventing interruptions in the home.
The call screen timer allows a user to set screening levels for any determined interval as well. It’s also ideal for a small business owner who needs a cost-effective alternative to a full parameter business phone system.
The Person-to-Person System offers three levels of privacy:
Level 1 – allows all calls to ring through
Level 2 – reviews all calls, allowing only calls with identifying names and numbers to ring through. All calls featuring no name, UNKNOWN NAME, no number will be routed to answering machine
Level 3 –only calls entered in the personal contact data base either by name, area code and/or number will ring through
