November 4, 2008 – Motorola today announced many Motorola Bluetooth headsets and car accessories will provide drivers the best hands-free experience while on the go. Motorola has paired with Jott, a voice-to-text service, to offer a free, two-month trial with purchase so users can turn their words into action and stay fully connected while in transit.

Hands on the Wheel

Motorola offers one of the largest selections of wired and wireless hands-free devices for drivers including portable and installed solutions and a full range of headsets for making calls in the car¹. Motorola’s Bluetooth headsets and car accessories that provide Jott’s service include MOTOPURE H15, H620, H780, H690, H560, H270, H710, H375, H390, MOTOROKR T505 and Bluetooth Hands-Free Speaker T305. With Jott’s new service, users can send hands-free emails and text messages to their contacts, set reminders and schedule appointments without taking their eyes off of the road. All users have to do is register on a PC and enter their promotional code and they are set to go.

On the Go

Jott allows users to send text messages and e-mails, set reminders and calendar appointments, take notes and even check RSS feeds and shop, all by voice. Simple to use, all users have to do is call Jott toll free, select their contacts with voice commands, say their messages, and Jott will convert them to text messages and send them out. Jott uses a combination of speech-recognition engines and people-based quality assurance to ensure the highest quality transcription possible. When used with many Motorola headsets and car accessories, users stay fully connected while on the road with a simple hands-free phone call.

Availability

The availability of Jott services in many Motorola Bluetooth headsets and car accessories will be available at select electronics retailers in Q4. The two-month Jott trial requires activation of a Jott Pro account on www.jott.com. After the free two-month trial, customers can choose to continue with Jott Pro for a monthly service charge of $12.95, or choose Jott Basic (free/ad supported) or Jott ($3.95/month) plans.
