Micro Research II Announces 3D-Album DVD Suite

September 16, 2003 — Micro Research II announced today at Tech X/PC Expo 3D-Album DVD Suite. 3D-Album DVD Suite lets consumers create animated Windows-based photo albums with dozens of true 3D animated presentation styles with more available online every day. Users can automatically segue from one snapshot to another, and include music, text and voiceovers. With the included Visviva Animation Capture software, the finished animation can be converted into AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, Windows Media, and RealVideo formats for SVCD, VCD or DVD viewing on a TV.

Slideshow presentations can also be uploaded to websites, sent as email attachments or turned into custom screensavers in which the images spin, dissolve, curl, glide, flip, float, explode and otherwise stay in constant 3D motion. Family and friends can enjoy the show without installing any special software on their PCs.

Just select the appropriate photo folder from your image management software, drag and drop the photos to put them in the sequence you prefer, and choose the presentation style that you prefer. There are 23 different styles on the 3D-Album software itself, plus an additional 60 designs in a free and continually expanding collection available for download at www.3D-album.com.

Some 3D-Album Styles:

  • Animated 3D oval frame that spins to reveal a new snapshot at every rotation
  • Hot-air balloon that soars over scrolling mountains while photos appear sequentially on the balloon’s surface
  • Swaying Christmas tree ornaments
  • Doors that open as the viewer moves down a grand hallway
  • Animated cubes
  • Rotating picture rack
  • Photos floating in water
  • Showcased Hollywood-style with a parting curtain and rolling credits
  • Murals on the walls of a rotating five-sided exhibit
  • Sails of sailboats
  • Heart-shaped balloons
  • Kaleidoscope
  • Fireworks

Hundreds or even thousands of photos can be included in a given presentation without affecting PC performance. Photos can be displayed in the sequence prescribed by the user or in random order, with no pauses or breaks in animation when new photos are loaded. Users can adjust animation speed, photo size, background colors, textures and other features; insert photo captions or text commentary as well as pre-recorded voice narrations; and add any MP3, WMA, WAVE or MIDI files for background music.

Business users can also use 3D-Album DVD Suite to create presentations utilizing their company logo, product photos or other business images to entertain customers, colleagues or employees before a business meeting.

3D-Album DVD Suite is priced at $64.90 (MSRP) and will be available October 1st from Office Depot and other retailers and immediately online at www.3D-album.com or by phone toll free: (877) 233-2528.
