Memorex's USB TravelDrive Welcomes Little 'Mini' to the Family

Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Memorex proves that good things come in small, high-performance packages with today's introduction of its flash-based Mini TravelDrive, the newest addition to the Memorex family of TravelDrive portable storage devices. Up to an inch shorter than other Memorex TravelDrives, the platinum-colored "Mini" is big on capacity, featuring up to 2GB of storage for digital photos, music, data or video files.

The new Mini features many of the signature characteristics of Memorex's award-winning line of USB TravelDrives, including a slim design; cool, blue LED status indicator; reinforced aluminum lanyard loop with lanyard; and an ergonomic gripping area. The Mini also features a metallic "platinum" finish and special security software, providing a stylish and safe way to store and transfer digital files.

At just 2.25 inches long, .85 inches wide and .33 inches thick, you can toss the Mini TravelDrive in a travel pouch, coin purse or pocket and always keep favorite digital photos, important data files and more close at hand. Available in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB or 2GB capacities, the Mini offers a complete range of models.

The Mini comes with SecureTD software, which offers an easy and convenient way to keep files stored on the drive safe from prying eyes. SecureTD software allows consumers to secure their Mini TravelDrives by setting passwords to prevent unauthorized access to files. SecureTD works by creating a partitioned area on the Mini that does not appear until access to it is unlocked by entering a preset password.

Like the TravelDrive, the Mini comes with a cap that fits on the back of the drive to prevent loss when not in use, and the blue LED flashes to let users know when the drive is working. The Mini TravelDrive is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and is perfect for use at home, the office, school, while traveling, or anywhere in-between.

The Mini complements the Memorex family of TravelDrive portable storage devices, which also includes the TravelDrive and executive-style M-Flyer.

Pricing and Availability
The Memorex Mini TravelDrive will be available at major consumer electronics retailers this September. Suggested retail prices are $39.99 for 256MB of capacity, $59.99 for 512MB of capacity, $99.99 for 1GB of capacity, and $179.99 for 2GB of capacity.
