Mad Catz Releases a Fully Illuminated, Glowing Controller for PlayStation 2
July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mad Catz will release its first fully illuminated PlayStation2 (PS2) controller, the LumiCON. For the ultimate gaming experience, the LumiCON's underglow and lighted, multi-colored action buttons allow players to experience the full ambiance of gaming in the dark. Due for availability in August, the LumiCON will retail for a suggested $19.99 and will come in a variety of colors including cobalt blue, crimson red and smoke black.
Building on Mad Catz' top-rated PS2 controller, the Dual Force 2 Pro, the LumiCON will blow gamers away with its unique lighting, advanced performance and extra cool style. Features include comfortably set fully analog joysticks, pressure-sensitive action buttons and two powerful vibration motors with realistic rumble. The powerful macro button allows players to pre-program complicated moves that require a combination of D-pad and action button sequence moves to perform intricate maneuvers. The Macro feature can be programmed on four separate buttons, each with up to 15 individual settings. Comfortable rubberized grips and a durable, braided cable provides enough room to move around. In addition, the LumiCON draws its power from the gaming system itself so there is no need for batteries.
"The Dual Force 2 Pro controller is so popular and provides superior technology, that we wanted to give our consumers an unexpected twist on a fantastic product with the LumiCON," said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mad Catz, Inc. "Mad Catz has built a reputation for consistently developing new and unique products for our dedicated customer base. We strive to develop products that are both visually appealing, functional and technologically advanced."
