LG Introduces Cutting-Edge Dishwasher Line

May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on its already extensive and ever-growing home appliance product portfolio, LG Electronics, a leading global consumer products manufacturer, today unveiled the company's first dishwasher line introductions in the U.S. The new product line will be on display at the 2005 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Booth #3712), May 10-12, 2005. In addition to being one of the quietest dishwashers on the market, the new LG dishwasher features one of the largest tub capacities available in the U.S. - fitting 16-place settings, versus the standard 12 or 14 available on the market today.

"LG is committed to delivering a broad variety of premium, high-quality and high-performance home appliance solutions to consumers. With the introduction of our dishwasher line, we are staying true to our word," said Teddy Hwang, President of Digital Appliances for LG Electronics, U.S.A. "Our dishwasher line is in a league of its own - as our latest innovations are one of the quietest models on the market, and also offer one of the largest capacities to consumers."

With the recent consumer trend of "hiving," more people are being socially active and entertaining within their homes, which means LG's new dishwasher line will come in especially handy. Featuring a sleek, sophisticated design that has become the hallmark of all of LG's products, these dishwashers are available in semi- and fully-integrated exterior models in a variety of finishes to suit any kitchen style and function, as well as match other LG appliances. The semi-integrated models feature digital display controls on the outside door, while the fully integrated versions have the digital display on the outside door and controls hidden on top of the door for a more 'polished' look.

As with all LG home appliances, the company's dishwasher line is also energy-efficient and low in water consumption. The products feature a soil level sensor which determines the number of rinses needed, and the zone cleaning option allows for washing in the upper or lower decks only to conserve water.

LG's new dishwasher models also feature a large loading capacity: 10-inch top rack and 14-inch lower rack, or 12-inches on both the upper and lower racks. Other features include:

-- Wide LED display for easy viewing of digital display
-- Removable tines and adjustable upper rack
-- Three separate cutlery baskets
-- Strong, normal and soft water jets allows for delicate washing
-- Sanitary rinse (to kill bacteria)
-- High-drying efficiency by combined condensation and fan drying, resulting in faster drying with reduced spotting

Available now, LG's dishwasher line comes in a variety of finishes including smooth white, smooth black and stainless steel, at a manufacturer's suggested retail prices ranging from $699 to $1,099.
