Lawn-Boy Introduces the First Mowers 'Designed to Fit You'

Many of the line's features and design elements have never before been incorporated into a lawn mower -- setting a new industry benchmark for comfort and ease-of-use.
The brand's new "designed to fit you" concept and tagline represents mowers that are approachable, intuitive and appeal to a broader yard care population. The Lawn-Boy Insight walk power mowers have more than 15 new features, including soft grips on the pull cord that are designed to fit the entire human hand and an adjustable handle height that allows a 4'10" homeowner to mow equally as comfortable as someone that is 6'2". Removing and replacing the bag requires only one hand. And when the lawn is done, using a simple step-on lever, the handle can fold down 180 degrees for storage of the mower underneath a bench. Additionally, Lawn-Boy has reintroduced riding mowers to its line with the launch of Precision Zero Radius Turning (ZRT) mowers -- the first riding mower that fits the user as precisely as it mows. The unique styling of the ZRT was inspired by "friendly" and "approachable" automotive designs with intuitive operator interfaces, making the mowers easy for users to use.
Cappucci and his team used experiential research -- videotaping and studying people using mowers -- as inspiration for the design of the new line- up. The result is a brand philosophy that focuses on the ease and enjoyment of yard care and a new line of products designed with the people who use them in mind. For example, the new Lawn-Boy Insight mowers are equipped with Sens-a- Speed self-propel technology -- a unique system that actually senses how fast the user walks and adjusts the mower's speed accordingly. This mechanism offers an intuitive, comfortable mowing experience for each individual, regardless of age, height, or strength.
