Kylie Pratt Qualifies for US Women’s Open Carrying OGIO Bag

June 2004– Australian native Kylie Pratt will not be alone in taking her first steps at the 2004 U.S. Women’s Open. At her side will be her trusted OGIO bag, also making its debut at the USGA championship forum.

The third-year Futures Tour member advanced from sectional qualifying at Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield, Mich. on June 14 after shooting an even-par 144, sharing medal honors with Kyeong Eun Bae of South Korea. Ms. Pratt will join fellow Australian Karrie Webb along with the rest of the Open field this July 1 – 4 at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass.

Ms. Pratt (no relation to OGIO founder Mike Pratt) has been carrying an OGIO Boss Hogg since joining the Futures tour in 2002. "We’ve been proud of our association with Kylie since day one," explains OGIO Golf Sales Manager David Triptow, Sr. "She’s an exceptional athlete whose talent has added a new dimension to Team OGIO’s roster. It is an honor to have her represent the company at this prestigious event."

In addition to her golf career, the Australia native manages a business to help student athletes earn scholarship money. Recently, Ms. Pratt tied LPGA superstar Annika Sorenstam at the ANZ Australian Ladies Masters with a career-low competitive round of 65.

A card-carrying member of the Futures Golf Tour (Official Developmental Tour of the LPGA), and the ALPG (Australian Ladies Professional Golf), her association with OGIO began when a friend introduced her to the company’s extreme-sport inspired bags. "The fact that the founder and I shared last names piqued my interest," Ms. Pratt explains. "But it’s the combination of OGIO’s smart and eye-catching designs, along with their unending support of my career, that has kept me on board. It’s rare to find a company that believes in you as much as you do yourself."
