Infogrames Powers Up Dragon Ball Z For Game Boy Color
Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Courage. Strength. Power. Do DBZ fans have what it takes? Infogrames, Inc. (NASDAQ:IFGM) has announced the November release of Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors for the Game Boy Color hand held system. Developed by BanPresto, Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors is an original strategy card-fighting game that re- enacts classic Dragon Ball Z battles and invites players to go all out to protect the Universe from complete domination.
"Since releasing our first two DBZ interactive games, the overwhelming response from consumers has generated a palpable buzz for more DBZ games," said Paul Rinde, senior vice president of Infogrames' Minneapolis studio. "Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors is sure to meet the fans expectations with its invigorating storyline combined with challenging card game elements."
Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors follows the Dragon Ball Z series allowing players to interact with their favorite DBZ characters. Building custom decks from five unique types of cards (damage, beam, defense, support and command), players position their characters to move through level after level of combat and strategy. Featuring three different game play modes - story, battle and multiplayer - Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors covers 10 different sagas -- beginning with Saiyan and ending with Majin Buu. The ultimate goal is to obtain victory against Majin Buu. To achieve this, players can combat against 19 different characters - from Vegeta and Piccolo to Cell and Evil Buu.
After completing the journey players can challenge random opponents resulting in battles not found in the animated series. Plus, DBZ fans will be able to play as their favorite characters, enjoy powering up against friends, and influence their destiny by trading cards via Game Link Cable.
Slated for a November, 2002 release, Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors will ship at a suggested retail price of $29.95.
