HP Introduces Two New Flatbed Scanners

June 2002 -- Hewlett-Packard just introduced two new flatbed scanners that offer ease of use and versatility at affordable prices. Featuring simple and expedient scanning tools, these digital devices give families what they need to start capturing, saving, manipulating and sharing life experiences.

Designed for price-conscious consumers, the HP Scanjet 3500c scanner offers photo-quality results for all creative projects. This slim, 1200-dpi and 48-bit color scanner produces crisp and vibrant scans for printing, e-mailing and posting images on the Web. The three, one-touch buttons (scan, copy and e-mail) make any creative project easy. The scanner also includes HP Memories Disc Creator software for creating and viewing digital slide shows on a computer or TV via a DVD player.

The HP Scanjet 3570c scanner offers consumers quality scanning results for photos, slides and negatives, and allows them to scan 35 mm negatives and slides by using the built-in, lighted adapter. Featuring four, convenient, one-touch buttons (scan, copy, e-mail and HP Memories Disc Creator launch), the scanner makes creating and sharing photo slide shows simple. Consumers can now scan photos, text, graphics and 3D objects; then print, e-mail and post them on the Web.

The HP Scanjet 3500c and 3570c scanners are priced at $99 and $149, respectively. Both scanners begin shipping July 1, 2002. Additional information about the scanners is available at www.scanjet.hp.com.
