Hot Chillys New Salsa Collection Sizzles

December 2003-- The leading company in base layers for snow sports, Hot Chillys kicks up the heat for fall ‘04 - ‘05, revealing its feminine side, with its new “hot & spicy” Salsa line for women - base layers, intimate apparel and more. The new line spreads the warmth from skiing to layering for spring workouts, to stand alone pieces for hot yoga classes, and even cooks for a night on the town.

The collection includes lightweight Salsa Seamless items for year-round activities, Salsa Synergy, which packs an extra punch for performance, and Micro-Elite Brushed classic base layers for skiing and other winter sports.

SALSA SEAMLESS
Considered the Victoria’s Secret approach to performance underwear, according to Wells, the Salsa Seamless collection has a silky, lingerie-like feel, and at the same time is the most technical intimate layer on the market today. “Salsa Seamless offers versatile, form-fitting pieces that can function as the first base layer for winter sports, intimate apparel for all-around use in cool climates, stand-alone pieces for spring or summer, and are even sexy enough for a night out dancing. The apparel not only looks good, but feels good from the inside out.” said Wells.

Salsa Seamless items are made from Hot Chillys’ proprietary BioSilver fabrication, a new MTF nylon and Lycra blend, providing anti-bacterial properties, moisture management and excellent stretch in one fabric, creating a fabulous fit. “Hot Chillys is leading the way with moisture managing technologies that work with nylon, and the fibers are exclusive to Hot Chillys -- we are the first kids on the block with this type of fabrication,” explained Wells.

With plenty of styles to appeal to mom and her teenage daughter alike, Salsa Seamless includes bras, camisoles and tops with articulated cups for support and style, briefs, tights, short-shorts and capris. Seven fun colors include kiwi and red leopard, red, pink, glacier, black and white. Packaged in a re-usuable red mesh cube, retail prices will range from $25 to $45.

SALSA SYNERGY
Salsa Synergy combines feminine styles with a soft, yet technical compression fabric that provides support and helps combat muscle fatigue. Combining moisture transfer nylon with 26% Lycra and an anti-microbial finish, the form-fitting fabric gently hugs the body, flattering most shapes. Salsa Synergy items include active sports bras as well as traditional long underwear silhouettes in seven tasty colors including red, pink, glacier, kiwi, iris, black and white with retail prices in the $30 to $45 range.

MICRO ELITE BRUSHED
The women’s Micro-Elite Brushed collection, formerly part of the overall Hot Chillys’ line, is now included in Salsa. The body fit fabric has been updated to a nylon/Lycra blend for a softer hand, and continues to be brushed on the inside for warmth and comfort. Silhouettes include a crew, zip-Ts. turtleneck, tights, a flared pant and a shimmel with a bra. The line also includes a full zip and hoodie jackets, and a full ski suit. Items are available in nine color combinations including black/white, red/black, pink/black, iris/black, black/blue, glacier/marine, and kiwi/marine with retail prices ranging from $35 - $65.
