Ergotron Introduces New Products for Healthier Laptop Computing
September 11, 2008 – Ergotron, the global leader in display mounting and mobility products, has introduced two new products designed to facilitate ergonomic laptop computing—just in time for the back to school shoppers and the perfect gift for that hard to please mobile warrior on everyone’s holiday list.
The Neo-Flex Notebook WorkBase, built off the same platform as Ergotron’s award-winning Neo-Flex Notebook/Projector Lift Stand, includes a wireless keyboard and mouse for proper arm wrist alignment when typing. Additionally, the company has now made available a separate SKU that includes the Wireless Keyboard and Mouse for those who are using a laptop in an elevated position, but do not have the proper data entry equipment. Both products are available through Ergotron’s network of resellers and eTailers at an affordable price for college bound students and business travelers alike.
“Combine any laptop you own with the Neo-Flex Notebook WorkBase, and you’re ready for the most productive laptop computing of your life," says Jane Payfer, Chief Marketing Officer for Ergotron. "We know users around the globe are hunched and crunched over their laptops when they’re on the road. But when they’re back home, we can inject a little comfort and way more productivity back into their lives."
- NEO-FLEX NOTEBOOK WORKBASE WITH WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE: This ergonomic laptop workspace package combines Ergotron’s wireless keyboard and mouse with Ergotron’s newest height-adjustable, nine-pound laptop stand – featuring a six-inch motion range. The Neo-Flex Notebook WorkBase offers true ergonomic adjustment so computer users can lift and tilt their notebook screen to eye-level for proper viewing comfort. Users get a full desktop computer system, without sacrificing notebook portability. By placing the notebook screen alongside an existing LCD, users can create an even more productive dual-display configuration. MSRP: $99.00.
- WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE: Laptop computer users can now connect their laptop to Ergotron’s new wireless keyboard and mouse without syncing, using Insta-Link technology. The USB micro-receiver features fast 2.4 GHz digital RF for dependable performance with up to 33-foot (10 m) working distance between keyboard/mouse and laptop. The 22” x 7.2” ergonomically-designed keyboard has eight multimedia and Internet hotkeys, four of which are programmable. Optical mouse is 1000 dpi, with five buttons. Total device weight is just 3.1 pounds. MSRP: $59.00.
"The introduction of the Neo-Flex Notebook WorkBase with wireless keyboard completes the healthy equation," Payfer says, "helping laptop users realize the value of a laptop stand while still ensuring a healthy computing environment.”
