Deutsche Optik Introduces New Night Glass Binoculars
August 2002-- Premier optical cataloguer Deutsche Optik has introduced an all-
new series of roof prism binoculars specifically designed for low light environments.
The first two (2) models in the “Night Glass” range are made in Germany and include
8x63 BGA and 10x56 BGA configurations. Each features streamlined roof prism
construction, smooth center focusing, long eye relief, fully multi-coated optics, complete
rubber armoring, and a fitted leather case.
“Many consumers have purchased electronic night vision devices of late, only to realize later how limiting they really are,” noted Deutsche Optik President Mike Rivkin. “To our knowledge, there is no other conventional binocular line made today that has been engineered specifically for the low light viewer. The combination of lower magnifications, larger apertures, and the industry’s best optical multi-coatings make the Night Glass series useful in all but the darkest of conditions.”
Hunters, birders, naturalists, and others have long known that animal activity is often at it’s most active in dawn or dusk conditions. Many viewers err in not tailoring their optical needs to the time of day at which there is the most to see. Now available from Deutsche Optik, the new Night Glass models are expected to sell for around $800.
