Delta Air Lines Offers Sale Fares

July 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) has introduced sale fares for travel between most U.S. cities and popular leisure destinations in Florida, as well as Las Vegas and New Orleans. These special fares are available for travel on Delta, Delta Express and Delta Connection flights.

Travelers have to make their plans soon since these fares are for sale only through August 5, 2002. The sale fares can be used for travel through Dec. 14, 2002. A Saturday-night stay is required except for travel to/from Las Vegas where the minimum stay is two nights. Other important restrictions apply, see below for details.

Restrictions: Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and fares may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Purchase Requirements: Fares require a 7-day advance purchase. Fares shown are round-trip and require a round-trip purchase. Ticketing Period: Tickets must be purchased on or before 8/5/02. Purchases at delta.com must be made at time of reservations confirmation and must be paid for using credit card/check card only. For tickets not purchased at delta.com, purchase must be made within one day of reservation confirmation or at least 7 days prior to departure whichever comes first, but not later than 8/5/02. Travel Period: Fares are valid for travel 8/6/02 -12/14/02. Blackout Date(s): Fares are not available for travel on 8/30/02, 9/2/02, 11/22-27/02, 12/1-2/02. In addition, due to peak seasonal travel demand during the period November 20-December 7, 2002, in some markets seats at these fares may be extremely limited or not available. Fare Validity: Fares are valid for travel in the Economy (Coach) Cabin on Delta/Delta Connection/Delta Express service between most points in the U.S. and points in the State of Florida/Las Vegas/New Orleans. Min./Max. Stay: Saturday night stay is required except for travel to/from Las Vegas where a 2 night minimum stay is required. Maximum stay is 30 days. Cancellations/ Refunds: Fares are nonrefundable. Changes/Standby: Wholly unused tickets: Although fares are nonrefundable, customer may apply value of fare to any applicable published fare less $100 (less $50 for tickets purchased on Delta Express) plus any applicable fare difference. Partially used tickets: Date/Time changes only. Allowed only on return portion of itinerary for a fee of $100 ($50 for tickets purchased on Delta Express) per change, plus applicable fare difference, as long as rule requirements are satisfied.
