Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) customers now can subscribe to Delta's E-mail Notification System to automatically receive via e-mail information regarding any schedule change that affects their itinerary.

"Providing customers with convenient options that allow them to receive important travel information quickly is especially important in today's fast- paced environment. This product better ensures that Delta customers get the information they need fast so that control of travel plans stays with the customer," said Debbie Siek, vice president - Reservation Sales and Customer Care.

The E-mail Notification System ensures that Delta customers receive important schedule change information more quickly. Following their one-time enrollment, customers receive notification up to four months, but no less than seven days, in advance of departure whenever there are schedule changes affecting their travel itineraries. E-mail notifications are easily identifiable by the subject line, "Your Itinerary Change," and include important travel facts such as flight number, departure time and seat assignment. To receive the e-mail notifications, customers simply subscribe at delta.com/emailprograms.

Customers also can sign-up for flight-specific reminders and information regarding last minute departure gate and time changes by accessing the Flight Tools section of delta.com. Customers may elect to have messages sent to any e-mail addressable device such as a computer, pager, mobile phone, or PDA. Through this service, customers can opt to receive a reminder regarding their flight up to three days in advance of departure, as well as any schedule or gate changes up to four hours prior to departure.
