Dell Announces Inspiron 4000 Notebook
The Inspiron 4000 debuts with the latest generation Intel microprocessors, including the new 800-MHz and 850-MHz Pentium III processors with SpeedStep technology, the ATI Rage Mobility 128 video graphics solution with 8 MB of SGRAM and 2X AGP and the latest optical storage technologies including a 8X/4X/24X CDRW drive.
The Inspiron 4000 weighs as little as 5.2 lbs. and offers a choice of five removable QuickSnap color accent designs located on the LCD back and palm rest.

Prices for the Inspiron 4000 start at $1,699 for a system equipped with a 600-MHz Intel Mobile Celeron processor, a 14.1-inch XGA display, 64 MB of RAM and a 6 GB hard disk drive. In addition to Dell's award-winning service and support, the Inspiron 4000 features the following cutting-edge technology:
- ATI Rage Mobility 128 video graphics card with 8 MB of SGRAM and 2X AGP
- SDRAM memory configurable from 64 MB to 512 MB

Latest Intel Processors
The Inspiron 4000 and 5000e are available with the new Intel 850-and 800-MHz Pentium III processors. The 800-MHz Pentium III and 700-MHz Celeron are available in the Inspiron 3800.
